In order to seal a window, are now used more seals. In the past the windows with putty and were used between the frame and the wing, there was often no seal.
Today, window seals mainly used in plastic windows, wooden windows and aluminum windows. Here Leaf rebate, flap seals, weatherstrip and glass seals are used.
Window seals are partly made of various hard materials (such as silicone, EPDM, other material). This more complex extrusion process offers inter alia, improved workability, sound insulation, thermal insulation and resilience.
